What are you grateful for today?

I'm grateful for cats, and rain, and good company, and nearly everything actually.

I'm grateful for all of you. And for having an opportunity to participate in the forming of our alternative universe. Yeah, pretty awesome!

I'm also grateful for all of you and the alternate universe we are creating. It is wonderful.

I'm grateful for my daughter, who is 21 today. She is a wonderful person and a great daughter. She is also a great friend. I love you boo-bah.

i'm grateful for my friends...my God, i'm grateful for my true friends. they make life worth living. their hearts are huge, their will is strong, their souls are beautiful....

i'm grateful for my enemies. without them, where could i pour out my wrath? they, and their principles i disagree with, define me. those who wish to know me have only to look at who my enemies are to know who i am. i am proud to have strong, wrathful, powerful enemies....they tell me 'who am i?'.

and my eyes opened this morning to another beautiful day of this wonderful, puzzling world....

I'm also so glad to see old familiar faces on the board. This has made my year!

I'm incredibly grateful for this board and all the awesome people on it! It's wonderful to feel it returning to what it should always be. A joyous place to play and talk with wonderful people!

Oh, yeah, another thing I'm grateful for is that turns out yesterday (Thursday) was my last day of work at the temp job for the virtual university. They are putting in cubicles today and it was chaos. I retrieved my timecard, said good bye to people, and came home. Ah, a 3 day weekend, another thing to be grateful for. And then I start my new job on Monday. Oh, yeah, I'm grateful for that, too. I guess I'm just brimming over with gratefullness today.

That's all wonderful news! Things did come together just as you needed them to.

you said ' I still think you're an impossible curmudgeon; you can change that to 'i know', as i'll freely admit it. in fact, an ex-girlfriend (the doctor) gave me this wonderful book called 'the portable curmudgeon' or some such...and danged if it dint disappear. it had h.l. mencken quotes, and others so saucy, i was in awe! some of the comebacks were so elegant, so sly, so inspiring....one dint realize one had been cut until the blood splatted on the floor...i can only hope that one day i reach such a level of expertise...

I am grateful for my baby, her birthing mother, my partner and his parents, and my parents.

Also grateful that reb is back.

Having the weekend off, so I can hide from the world for a day or two.

I found a branch library within walking distance of where I live!! I'm grateful because now I can walk to the library (get exercise) and get books to read. And, my daughter called me today, which is always wonderful in and of itself.

I'm grateful that yesterday, a dreaded algebra quiz turned out to be take-home. I'm grateful I'll soon be getting a faster computer. Oh, and the whole not-being-dead thing.

So grateful that the hurricane named Ike is gone! For us, the worst was power outage, phone outage and water outage. Our mobile phone was our lifeline, except where it would not go. So many users, so little airspace, I suppose. Everything is 'on' now, though we can't drink or cook with the water, yet.
Actually, the worst part was being out of touch with loved ones for six days.

I am grateful.

I am grateful that with all these violent storms this year, no one has been hurt, nor their families, nor suffered serious property damage.

Today I am grateful that none of my children suffer from gender identity disorder
