summer meadow
hmmm
i can´t stand this winter longer
and dream about summer
i want to walk in meadows again
in the sun.
want to see birds, hear bees,
smell the flowers.
This winter has to end!
Do you feel the same?
Want to see meadows here, meadows there
... meadows everywhere ?
Here´s a topic for action.
Let´s do something.
Imagine...
We´ll leave everything..
Enough is enough!

In about 2 weeks, it will look like that here, with all the wildflowers starting to bloom in earnest. The trees already have. I so love the beauty of it all and the near end of cold weather.

Re: summer meadow
Ah, poppies, yes, maybe soon there will be some blooming here. Gratefully here most of the trees do not lose their leaves, just a few transplanted varieties. But the birds are out in full force, their songs are just wonderful. I particularly like the mourning doves, their coos are more quiet and subtle. The white wing doves are louder but they haven't started up yet. Right now I'm just listening and appreciating the mourning doves coos. The days are also noticeably lengthening. Soon the heat of the desert summer will be here and then I'll be trying to stay cool. Ah, well, better by far than shoveling that white stuff that falls from the skies in winter. LOL!

Re: summer meadow
We have snow here. And it's cold. Damn cold. I'm so farking ready for spring, it's not funny. Sad thing is, it's probably not going to look like spring around here until May.
I really enjoyed the pictures though. It's a nice break from reality.

Re: summer meadow
Yes, haven´t seen wild flowers blooming for a long time.. yes, they look so beautiful. I miss to walk through a forest but without all that cold. Maybe i could do that in next days, walking through a forest to visit and see some trees... hmmm maybe it could help.
Morning doves... i heard them through the heating oven in my last apartment. We lived near the top of the house, where some doves lived. I could seen them through my window sitting at the top of the house.
And sometimes they sat for a short time outside my window, really nice.
My cat loved that too. Yes, i miss that.
Outside my windows i see just white snow falling and some thin freezing trees. Grey streets, mixed with some coloured cars. Wonderful. I can´t stand the cold and snow longer. And the city, i guess i have the city super flu. Maybe it could be a good idea for me to leave the city, have a break and to walk in fields of nature...
It started snowing again yesterday at morning here in berlin, and it seems it won´t stop soon, frustrating. Few days ago i thought spring is already arriving. I thought i heard the birds singing about that at morning. They are frustrated here too for sure. And yes, it´s not going to look like spring here around until May, too.
So a break from reality really helps me too. :-)
And the birds.
More Pictures !

strange funny beeing. :-)
She looks cute.
Don´t know anything about Mr. Joseph Schmidt though.

Re: summer meadow
Hmm...I think I'm the only one on earth right now (well, in this hemisphere anyway) who isn't ready for spring. I know that sounds sacrilegious, but I'm still in hibernation mode, and not prepared for the kids to be home for the summer, and all the noise that warm weather brings out of this place...I'm still enjoying my relative peace and quiet, even though it entails -30 wind chills.
But, since we're sharing cute pictures of kitties among flora...here's one of Little Beade in my old "garden" in Florida:
As I like to say when I post that picture--one day I planted a whisker, and this is what came up!
(you can also see my half-painted blue fence there, mischifus )

Re: summer meadow
Oh, if it worked like that...I would plant a hundred Little Beade whiskers and make many Beades, so that I could have her my entire life and so that others could also have the most perfectest kitty in the whole world as their companion as well.

Re: summer meadow
Hee. Can you say "dork"?
I'm such a cynical hardass, until it comes to kitties. Then I'm nothing but a big softie.
As I believe them to be particularly HSP animals, i relate to them quite well. I can also relate to them being cantankerous little snits sometimes.
