Re: A few Fractal Art Galleries
Oooo, I just downloaded a free trial of Ultra Fractal, to make my own. Cool, new projects, just what I need!
Re: A few Fractal Art Galleries
These are really cool sites, MC. I especially liked the first one though. Thanks for sharing.

Would you be willing to post what you come up with? We want to see.Oooo, I just downloaded a free trial of Ultra Fractal, to make my own. Cool, new projects, just what I need!
Nan, on the 2nd site, check out the guest galleries; a lot of really cool stuff is there. That is also where I found the link to the first site.

Oh sure!
Erm, I'm still on page 2 of 969 of the tutorial, though.
What I want to do is create some cool designs with the free version of the software, save them as jpgs, and then make paintings of them. (And yes, I DO realize I've completely missed the point of digital art. )

I love these. Thanks for the links.
I'm gonna print a few on some good paper and try framing them for my office.

Re: A few Fractal Art Galleries
Any interest for 3 D stuff ?
Here's a H/T for intjforum for the 3 D Mandelbulb:
Here's a H/T for intjforum for the 3 D Mandelbulb:
Some said it couldn't be done - that there wasn't a true analogue to a complex field in three dimensions (which is true), and so there could be no 3D Mandelbulb. But does the essence of the 2D Mandelbrot purely rely on this complex field, or is there something else more fundamental to its form? Eventually, I also started to think that this was turning out to be a Loch Ness hunt. But there was still something at the back of my mind saying if this detail can be found by (essentially) going round and across a circle for the standard 2D Mandelbrot, why can't the same thing be done for a sphere to make a 3D version?

Re: A few Fractal Art Galleries
It's too bad that the resolutions of computers are too limited to enjoy and examine fractals fully.

Re: A few Fractal Art Galleries
I thought at first that it was the same link nucky had posted yesterday, but as I scrolled down, there were a bunch of new things in it so it is not the same link at all. Plus this one has more links to yet more great fractals as well.
I think these links are itinerating on their own, creating a fractal of fractal galleries!
