50 things to stop buying and make yourself

FYI: the names of the items are links to how to make each thing. Just click the blue link/name and the how to will open for that thing.

How to make soap without lye: http://thenerdyfarmwife.com/making-soap-without-lye/
I'll be making a few of these soaps for Christmas presents this year with some herbs I have dried (and the lemon grass growing in pots in my house) and some essential oils if I can find them locally. (I also have a really odd idea of using a few herbal teas to see how they would turn out, yay play time.)

Figured I'd post and add a bit to my soap thingy.
I found organic melt and pour soap base on amazon for a reasonable price. I'm actually making a bar right now with one of them, just took a bit off the block, nuked it for like 20 seconds-40 seconds till it melted, mixed it with some sleepy time tea I brewed super strong last night, and poured it in a mold with some loose chamomile tea leaves. It's cooling right now on my counter so in like an hour I should be able to take it out of the mold and see how it is.

There's like 8 bars of Chamomile and one bar of the apple cinnamon I'm doing now. The little 'dust' on the top of the bars is actually ground tea leaves. The colors come from the herbs used in the bars.
