Music can change the way you think

Music Changes the Way You Think (link) It's turning out it can do far more than connect with our emotions and memories.

They mention 'mental states', in that link but I was looking for mention of brain states and found none.

I use binaural beats to assist in meditation and am familiar with brain waves, so went looking for that type of information. Apparently this particular work isn't at such a deep level.

I find 'mental states' lacking rigor, but that's just me, I guess.

They were looking for specific cognitive functions of normal state, not altered states. Also I wonder if music has the same effect on HSP brains as we're wired differently. Still it's interesting and something to be aware of. The more they learn about how our environment affects cognitive function, the more ways will be found to manipulate people that people may not be aware of in order to influence their views in various ways. So it pays to be aware of such things too.
