Song lyrics game
A variation of the word association game. But you name a song with at least one of the words contained within the prior song.
Also, nothing but "bragging rights for the following": a phrase of three or better yet, more words in both your song and the prior song.
And similar "extra credit" if you state the prior song contains the name of another singer/songwriter/artist, in which case, you have to post one of the songs belonging to that artist as your song. The song to start things off will be Little Feat's "Rad Gumbo," which is one of the "extra credit" songs:
"Mamma's pots are boiling, band starts to blow
piano keys a 'flying like Fats Domino"

Ok I am so trying to get my head around this one.... "too much" information for this wayward head of mine waterdragon..and my head is going ok..where do I start..
Ok a song with a word taken from you line in your song...firstly...
next...if you can take more words than one word from the previous song your doing even better....
and if the previous lyrics posted contain a singer you then state that and use a song from them, but does that still have to contain a word or words from the previous line..?
I need some clarity here please....help help me if you dont mind of course..

Re: Song lyrics game
In the interest of making this game much simpler, Alethia, I'm going to change it to linking to any one word in the prior song which is also included in the song you choose to post. Except you can't use words such as "a," "and," "the," etc. Hopefully, this will make the game much easier! So, instead of a "Little Feat" song, I'll restart the game with the following Ray Wylie Hubbard lyrics from "Dust of the Chase":
"I have walked through God's green pastures and seen the rich blue skies
I have seen the fall of man and the kingdom hidden from his eyes
I have heard the roar of thunder and felt the lightening bolt
And when I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I take along Samuel Colt"
e.g., you could post another song containing the word "thunder,"shadow," or "valley," amongst a number of others.

Re: Song lyrics game
OK thankyou this is so much easier....maybe as I go I might be able to embrace the rest of the game you previously included...we shall see...how this gal fairs..
Till Kingdom Come - Coldplay
For you I’d wait 'til kingdom come
Until my day, my day is done
And say you'll come and set me free
Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me
Till Kingdom Come - Coldplay
For you I’d wait 'til kingdom come
Until my day, my day is done
And say you'll come and set me free
Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me

Re: Song lyrics game
The word "wait," from a song performed by a number of different singers.
"I'll wait for you"
"If it takes forever I will wait for you
For a thousand summers I will wait for you
Till you're back beside me, till I'm holding you
Till I hear you sigh here in my arms "
"I'll wait for you"
"If it takes forever I will wait for you
For a thousand summers I will wait for you
Till you're back beside me, till I'm holding you
Till I hear you sigh here in my arms "

Re: Song lyrics game
Walk 500 miles... The Proclaimers
But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be that man who walk a thousand miles to fall down at your door
But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be that man who walk a thousand miles to fall down at your door
