Even though I knew much of this, it is still a great overview and there were some points made that I wasn't aware of. For example, an hsp child raised in a normal childhood environment is less prone to anxiety and social problems than a nonhsp child while a child from a stressful abusive childhood environment is more prone to anxiety and depression than a nonhsp child with a simular background. Both these things carry over into adult life.

My husband thinks it is all baloney
I haven't finished the video yet but I did have a very stressful childhood because of the fighting my parents did.  They never divorced but the strain was big at times.
So I can totally see how that has affected me.
I need to make sure my daughter has a better one.
I hope so well I can only try along with my husband.

I wish I had more time off from work and being a mom and a wife haha... I think that would help me so much.
The days I am off of work, I do chill and it feels good but then if I rest too much the house is a mess by the kids. It is always in some mess...

I'm glad you're starting the journey in learning more about HSP. As you read more, things are going to really start to change, how you see things, how you feel; everything is going to be reframed in ways that can feel profound.

I'm just wondering, do you do all the housework and upkeep or is it more a family effort?

day to day, it is usually me. But my mom helps sometimes and I so appreciate it.
I'm the only one who cooks. My mom helps with sweeping, mopping, dishes etc.
I finally have my own washer so now I just throw in a load whenever possible.

Husband helps when he has that spark of energy to do something about the mess lol... but if he ever gets on me about it... in his "jokes" ( which I take too "seriously") I am now at the point where I tell him to do it himself if he has a problem with it. But he says he's joking but I feel that it can be too mean.
But he says he doesn't care if the house is a mess so I don't have to stress about it. Because I do tell him that I can't do it all. He says a house with 3 toddlers is never going to be clean.

But my girls are learning how to help little by little so there's hope
