Astronomy - Current Events!
Have you seen this! If not, step outside tonight just after sunset and you will be in for a spectacular treat!

How low on the horizon is it? This time of year it is hard to see anything because of persistent radiant fog. I have seen such displays many times before; they are quite beautiful.

The clouds finally cleared up a bit and I saw it. Well, in the car anyway. Couldn't see it when we got home cause we're in a valley and the hills are in the way. But it's quite the site!

I was viewing it the other eve. before it was so close. Seems to disappear quickly though...so low....
Course....tonight I have nothing to view but cold snow skies.
Comfy dream time!

I've been watching Venus and Jupiter the past several nights and tonight they are right there, next to the moon. I couldn't get the website pulled up but I knew wht it was about anyway. It's pretty awesome.

The sky was clear enough tonight to be able to see it from where I live. Pretty awesome!

Glad some of you were able to enjoy this! The best time seems to be immediately after sunset as the sky is becoming dark. The crescent moon and the planets do set early and within a few hours in the southwest sky in my location.
