Great movies for HSPs to watch

I had a search for movies that are great for HSPs to watch but didn't find a thread specific to this so apologies if it's out there! Move this to a better place if there's one

There are movies out there that bring me enormous hope, inspiration and a feeling of support and not feeling alone so wanted to post them and see if others had some favorites...

Romantics Anonymous, a French film with English subtitles... The best film I've seen so far for how sensitive folks can 'fit' in to 'normal' life and be supported by others...

La Belle Verte (The Green Beautiful)... Another French film (also with English subtitles), this time about a non-earth planet of sensitive people where one person volunteers to come to earth to see how it's going and tries to fit in with humorous and confusing results...

This 46 min interview is with Kevin Richardson, a friend of lions in Africa, literally... Not sure if it was this interview but remember hearing him say once, "I prefer animals over humans" and a lot of times I totally understand where he's coming from...

Some people are sensitive enough to hear the song/music of plants...

For those of us who aren't, or aren't there yet (like me!), the folks at Damanhur in Italy trained some plants and designed equipment to create plant music that is so mesmerizing...

Hopefully Paintdeer! I love the odd quirky foreign film and this fits that category perfectly...

A disclaimer I should have noted on all of the above films as that none of them fit the HSP definition exactly or perfectly, rather they're people who have a similar experience of life as HSPs... E.g. From the outset, you might say Romantics Anonymous is about two anxious folks falling in love, but for me, it went deeper than that as I could laugh or empathize at how they reacted to things in life as they've happened to me...

Yesterday I saw a Vietnamese movie that was very HSP. It was called The Scent of Green Papaya. I liked it... The portions where the little boys were torturing ants and lizards wasn't nice, but it showed the household that the little girl was growing up in... Overall, it was a good movie.

Oh yes, please do! I will gradually keep thinking of more over time but am always always always on the look out for good movies

A wacky film on existential topics and questions that I found super funny and enlightening after I started noticing I was 'sensitive' and started questioning everything... Watched it after it first came out, if I watched it again now I'd definitely have to be in the right mood...

My favorite movies are Pride&Prejudice and Girl with a Pearl Earring. It doesn't really deal with HSP's, but I think it has a very "introverted" feeling to it, dealing with feelings rather than particular events. Girl with a Pearl Earring made me feel pleasantly silent afterwards, which only good, thoughtful movies can do.
