Christmas Music: How early is too early?

It is definately too early to hear it on the radio a week before Thanksgiving!

and this goes for Christmas lights on peoples houses too.
The people across the street had all their lights burning last Saturday night for cripes sake.

And I understand the stores needing to make their money at Christmastime, but putting stuff out and playing Christmas music in the stores and malls before Halloween is just obnoxious.

I used to think anytime before december 1st was bordering on ridiculous, but I think it depends on your own mood around that time of year.....Might just go find me a happy little christmas song right now!
