Earth's Satellite tracking
If you haven't seen this, it's pretty cool! I couldn't believe how many satellites we have in orbit tho!
"In 3D Virtual Reality and see everything in orbit around it - click and drag to make the earth rotate, wait a few minutes to see everything move. Click on any satellite to view it's name and orbit."
There are other interesting links at this site if you are the least bit curios about this kind of stuff...

I knew we had a lot of satellites in orbit but this is visually eye-opening! Thanks for posting.

That is quite interesting. I wonder how many are for commercial purposes and how many are for government surveylance purposes and from which countries? Hmmmm.....

Giant USB Spaghetti Cable Monster Invades Australia
This is not a photo of a USB cable mess over a dirty carpet. It’s a real and completely un-retouched image capture from Google Maps. A satellite view of a small part of Waubra, in Victoria, Australia.
It’s the Waubra Wind Farm, owned by Spanish power company Acciona. The cables are the tracks:
And the USB connectors are the foundation of the wind turbines:

whoa, holy crap I didn't know there were that many satellites
they must need an extensive tracker on the shuttle and the space station. Even a little piece of dust hitting one of them at that speed would be catastrophic.
