Lenovo PCs ship with man-in-the-middle adware that breaks HTTPS connections [Updated]

This is serious malware that completely compromises their computers and they had no business having it preinstalled like that.  I'd never buy this brand, because I could not trust them to not install other malware in the future.

Ars got it right.

I did a Google search for >Superfish< and it returned 884,000 hits.

I kind of suspected the problem would extend much further. So far here is where it's showing up and it's likely to spread.

Thanks, but I'll pass on that Signature PC and keep buying OEM to build my own. Then all I have to do is deal with the theft that is called ISP service, out here in flyover country :-(
