Emotions and Feelings.. Empty Emotions and Feelings..

When you look in your dictionary for definitions of emotions and feelings you'll see that the two words are practically synonymous. That's how we use them in our ordinary everyday speech. But when I use those words I use them in a metaphysical sense and in that regard they are very different. I've been rambling about the metaphysical differences between these two words for the last 8 years and I will now try to bring all that rambling together into a concise package that hopefully makes it crystal clear what the differences are and how understanding the differences can bring balance and harmony to our lives.

There is a very large spectrum of emotions and variations of emotions that humans experience. Fear, anger, guilt, jealousy, hate, conditional love, greed, lust, sexual arousal, curiosity, depression, ennui, contempt, victimhood, hysteria, defiance, and excitement are just a few emotions that come to mind. While there are many, many emotions, there are only two feelings. And those two feelings are joy and unconditional love.

One of the main differences between emotions and feelings is where they originate. All emotions originate within the physical embodiment. All feelings originate outside the physical embodiment. I'll get back to this in a moment.

We are bio-electro-chemical beings while we inhabit our bodies. Our bodies are producing chemical reactions constantly. If the body stopped producing chemical reactions it would cease to live. Every emotion we experience creates a chemical reaction in our bodies. We can say that every emotion is a chemical reaction. Being a chemical reaction, a bio-chemical body is needed for that emotion to be fully experienced. All emotions originate within our physical embodiments as a result of chemical reactions produced as a result of sensory and mental input. When we see a tornado coming right at us our bodies create a chemical reaction called fear which initiates action designed to protect ourselves from that threatening tornado. When we see someone provocatively posing nude a chemical reaction called sexual arousal is created within our emodiments which initiates action designed to propagate our species enabling us to always have new bodies to come into.

These are very basic examples of how emotions are chemical reactions occuring within our bodies. (And they show that there are built-in benefits to these chemical reactions occuring within the body.) Every time our bodies experience one of these emotions/chemical reactions a pheromone is produced and emitted. It's the natural result of that chemical reaction. Animals use pheromones to communicate (and we did once, too) and that is why animals can detect when we are in fear. It's because when we are in fear we are giving off fear pheromones as a result of the emotion/chemical reaction called fear being experienced within us.

Humans have the ability to "read" pheromones, too. It's called intuition and psychic ability. But we have been conditioned all our lives to ignore our intuition and psychic abilities and to instead use reasoning and other mental functions to translate all sensory input. But our bodies still receive pheromonal input so quite often our bodies are reacting one way while our noggins are reacting a different way. This creates stress on both the body and the noggin. This stress creates further chemical reactions and we end up with a hodge-podge of emotions and mental machinations that prevent us from receiving pure intuitive information.

When two humans get together to communicate with each other they are always communicating on two different levels. They are communicating pheromonally through emotion and they are communicating mentally through language. This dichotomy is the basis for most all of our problems interacting with each other. But this dichotomy is also a great challenge we have presented ourselves with in the process of evolving beyond an animalistic state. Eventually we will be able to bring this dichotomy into a harmonious balance. To do so we must become aware of our emotions and our intuition in order to find a balance with our cognitive noggin functions.

But I am in danger of getting way off track. I was showing that all emotions originate within the physical embodiment. Mental cognitive brain functions are also of the body since the noggin is part of the body. But then we also have the mind which is located in the bio-field just outside of the body. When the body's emotional functions and noggin functions are in balance and harmony then the mind becomes clear and can function without the discord emanating from a body in disharmony with its emotional and noggin functions.

But if all emotions originate within the physical embodiment then where do feelings originate? Feelings do not originate from within the physical body nor do they originate from our bio-field and mind. Our feelings originate from our Entity--or that part of us not in this physical dimensional reality. We can also say that all feelings originate from our Source. Remember, I said there are only two feelings--or feeling-tones--and they are joy and unconditional love. These two vibrational frequencies are being fed to us by our Source at all times. They are what keeps us alive. If our Source were to stop the feeding of these two vibrational frequencies for so much as a second we would cease to exist. And so would the Source! Luckily, Sources do not stop sourcing.

And what Sources source is feelings. Joy and unconditional love; that's what we are being fed non-stop by our Source. Feelings originate from our Source. They flow through our bio-field and into and through our bodies, giving us life. Our bio-electro-chemical bodies cannot live without feelings flowing through them from our Source.

Our biological bodies need chemical reactions to function and they need electricity to have life. Emotions are chemical and feelings are electrical. We need both in order to be alive and function. That's what makes us bio-electro-chemical.

Since feelings come from our Source we do not create them. Nor are they a reaction to anything. We do not have control over feeling-tone vibrations. They are flowing through us at all times no matter what we do. What we do have control over, though, is whether we choose to be aware of those feelings flowing through us and whether or not we choose to open up to them and embrace them and FEEL them. We can resist them or surrender to them. That is our ultimate choice.

Remember, I said there are only two feelings; joy and unconditional love. We are being inundated with joy and unconditional love from our Source at all times. To become aware of this and to surrender to it we become empowered beyond anything we'ver ever imagined. That's when we fully realize our divinity.

Most people are blissfully unaware of this Source material (feelings) flowing through us at all times. They are too preoccupied with emotional and mental functioning (which is usually in a state of discord). This discord creates resistance and blockage of the Source material (feelings) flowing through us. It can't block it completely (or we would cease to be) but it does deflect and transmute that energy so that it does not flow through us unimpeded. Disharmony creates resistance to the flow of that feeling energy and resistance causes friction which causes all sorts of unhealthy things such as emotional overload, disease, and aging.

For a healthy state of balance within our beings we would be running on approximately 52% electricity (feelings) and 48% chemical reactions (emotions). (With every body being unique and different, this is an approximation.) Most humans, though, are firing at 98% to 99.5% emotions and .5% to 2% feelings. We need both emotions and feelings to function but how well we function is determined by bringing those percentages into balance.

Our bodies PH balance is a microcosm of this. Emotions are acidic and feelings are alkaline. Of course our body's PH balance is affected by the foods we eat as well as our environment. But it is also highly influenced by whether we are in an emotional state or a feeling state--or rather by the balance between those two states. If our bodies were in an extremely acidic condition and we were to completely surrender to the feeling-tone vibrations of unconditional love and joy for 10 full minutes our body's PH Balance would immediately enter a state of balance for those 10 minutes--and stay there for hours and even days....until our emotions brought it back out of balance again. That's called epiphany and rapture. If we could completely surrender to the feeling-tone vibrations of unconditional love and joy on a near constant basis we would be able to walk through walls, walk on water, and turn gasoline into wine.

Of course most of us are just interested in living in balance and harmony and peace and happiness. The key to that is in opening up to the torrent of feeling (unconditional love and joy) that is constantly flowing through us. But instead we try to create feeling through emotion and we can't do that. We cannot create feeling; we can only surrender to it. And when we do our emotions are balanced out

Emotions are our chemical reactions to life. Feelings are what give us life.

Seeing through an illusion is one thing, but does that in and of itself dissipate the illusion? Can the illusion still be there after seeing it as such, and can it still have power? How do we overcome illusions, where they no longer have any power over us?

When we walk through life we set up the entire landscape which we walk through. It sounds easy to simply no longer give it energy, but we must also create a new landscape to walk through, or else the old one keeps popping back up. We see the old landscape pop up and we wonder why. It will continue to pop up again and again until it is replaced with a new illusion.

An illusion not only has the power given to it in the moment but also the collective power given it over time. An illusion solidifies for us when we have reinforced it over and over. If we keep giving it any energy at all, it won't go away. How solid is our new way of looking at our landscape? Our minds don't like to let go of our landscapes because it fears having nothing to walk through. The void is what we fear and that is why we create a landscape in the first place. But it is in nothingness where we connect with our entities, and it is from that place that our creative abilities are unlimited. In there we don't have to paint over existing landscapes. We have a blank canvas. That is why the void is the best place to create. Most create from within their landscape, and there is nothing wrong with that. It is just easier to create from a blank canvas and blank mind. There are no impediments and nothing to erase before beginning.

The truth is that all creation takes place from this void, but by the time the creation is materialized it is filtered through our existing landscape, so it can barely resemble the original creation. That is why so many creations don't turn out the way we intended. If we can get into the void and stay there long enough to allow the creation to be complete, we can then bring it right into our landscape. When it is brought in pure like this it becomes our illusory landscape, but it is an independent creation free of our control. If we are still in the process of creating and recreating it, then it is not finished and it still has power over our attention. Once we have finished a creation in the void and bring it into our reality, it is birthed and is no longer ours. The trouble is that we do not let it go. It is like a child we birthed, but once it is birthed it has its own life and we must allow it to have its own life. When we don't, then it gets stuck in our landscape and we can't seem to get rid of it when we want to.
So our landscapes are filled to the brim with half-completed creations and almost-completed creations that we won't let go of. We can see this, but until we let them go and go back into the void to create a new landscape, then nothing seems to change. When we bring a new creation into our reality we must immediately let it go. If it stays to color our landscape or if it leaves to find its own life, it doesn't matter. We can create a new landscape by going back into the void. We can create a new landscape for each new day--but not if we're still holding on to the things already in our landscape. It is not a matter of overcoming illusions, but rather a matter of giving life to the illusion and setting it free; of acknowledging the illusion's right to exist and acknowledging our choice to either hold on to it or let it go. These illusions are like lovers; let it free, and if it was meant to be, it will return to grace your landscape. If it doesn't, it wasn't meant to be a part of the landscape. We are afraid of letting our illusions go just as we are afraid of letting our lovers go; we're afraid we'll be all alone in the void. But alone in the void is where we can connect with our entity, and it is where we can continue to create. That is why we stop creating, because we are afraid of the void so we hold on for dear life to the creations in our landscape that we first began creating long ago, but which we will never grant completion.

Soul Groups, Ponds, and Canned Teachings

by White Feather

Let's play with our minds for a minute. First, we'll build a little visual model. Let's use a very common metaphor; the rock being dropped into the still pond. As everyone knows, when a rock is dropped into a still pond concentric waves flow out away from where the rock is dropped. The waves grow larger and larger until they reach the limits of the pond.

Let's see ourselves as the rock and the concentric waves flowing out across the pond as our awareness. We can call the pond our reality, or the universe.

When we first hit the water, our awareness of the pond/universe is nil. We haven't experienced it yet; it remains completely an unknown space. As the wave of our awareness flows outward in all directions, we become more and more aware of ever larger parts of the pond. The wave continues until finally we attain full awareness of the pond/universe.

Information is stored in the pond; information about everything in the pond. As our wave of awareness spreads out, it comes upon new information constantly. Because of the nature of the circular wave it appears that information is stored in concentric rings and as we hit each new concentric ring going out, we become aware of new information. New information always appears greater than old information, so it appears that the information gets better the farther out we get from the point where the rock hit the water. What actually is greater, though, is just the mass of the pond on the inside of our circular wave going out. That is what is always growing.

I believe it was the entity Sabe who gave a similar analogy about canned teachings. He said that as our awareness evolved, or expanded like the circular wave, we continued to come upon preformatted information and gestalts with each new layer outward, and our outward expanding journey through these preformatted information and gestalts was our process of evolvement. Sabe called these preformatted information packages canned teachings. It's not a glamorous name, but it shows a gestalt that we move through and learn from in order to be ready for the next canned teaching, which prepares us for the next one and the next one and so forth.

If we look at humankind's circular wave moving outward over the last hundred or so years, we can see some of the canned teachings we went through. As for metaphysical teachings, a hundred years ago we were moving through the Madame Blavatsky gestalt, or Theosophy gestalt. And then we moved through what we can call the Edgar Cayce gestalt. But it wasn't just one psychic or teacher representing the gestalt. There's always several around the world, but they're all working off the same general gestalt we're moving through.

In the Sixties and Seventies there was the Seth gestalt. Once again, it was not just Seth, but a lot of different teachers all bringing forth similar information from the layer of canned teachings humankind was going through. After Seth it was Ramtha and Philip (and others). And now we're moving through a canned teaching layer personified by teachers like Sabe and Elias and many others. Each canned teaching prepared us and laid a foundation for the next one.

Now it's important to see that just because we've reached a new layer of canned teaching, it does not mean that that is any more valid than the layers we've already traveled through. They just happen to be farther away from the point where the rock hit the water. The teachings closer to the point where the rock hit the water are only enhanced by the new knowledge and awareness we've gained in our further movement outwards. What happens when we reach a layer of canned teaching is that a gestalt is born that defines that information for us at the level of understanding we're at as we pass through it. As we move beyond it into new layers, and develop new gestalts for those new layers, what happens is that we redefine those previous gestalts.

We hit a layer of canned teaching, we define it, then to move on we must "un-define" it in order to take on a new layer. With the defining of the new layer comes a new awareness which in turn redefines the previous layer. This is how our awareness expands and how we evolve--or rather, this is an illustration of how our awareness expands.

But wait. We can look at this concentric expanding circle thing in a lot of different ways. The way I've been describing it is in regard to humankind as a whole. But we can look at it on a personal level, too. While humankind as a whole can be an outward expanding circular wave, each of us are individually as well. Parts of ourselves open up the new information we move through while other parts of us define that information and other parts act it out.

Now let's look at a soul-group as a circular wave expanding out through these layers of information. Each soul-group reacts differently to all the new layers of information. Some soul-groups have a soul-group plan calling for certain aspects of moving through that information. Some groups take it upon themselves to be the can openers; the vanguards who open up the information. Other groups consider it their job to define that information, and other groups prefer to act out that information, completing the process of moving through and understanding that layer of information.

Say soul-group X are specialists at defining information. That's what they like to do. They are the ones who create the gestalt that explains the information to others. Others embrace the gestalt and live their lives by it. Of course not everyone understands it, but by living it, the seeds of the knowledge the gestalt represents are planted.

As some soul-groups are in the process of absorbing the information either through defining or experiencing, there is the other group, the vanguard, who is out already at the edges of a new layer of canned teachings. They're already opening the next can while the others are still working on the previous can. They're the ones at the very edge of the wave.

Here is where soul-group X comes back in the picture. First, they have to get out of the old gestalt then they have to start taking in the new information so they can start building a new gestalt. The tricky part is getting out of the old gestalt. If they cannot get out of the old gestalt, then, not only will they be unable to start processing a new one, but they will be unable to redefine the old one. It is the job of redefining the old one that helps bring the others through it into the new one. It can be an overlooked part of the process, but it is important for forward movement.

We can also look at this expanding circular wave thing as a metaphor for our linear concept of reincarnation, viewing each new concentric ring outwards as a new and different life. With each new life we are moving through each new gestalt, thus progressing in our awareness. Certain lives are spent in the vanguard groups, some are spent in soul-group X, and others are spent just living and absorbing those gestalts in order to make the awareness complete. Belonging to a specific soul-group can give us a propensity for a certain function, such as can opener, definer, and actor, but we still must go through all the functions. We plan those lives so that the specific soul-group we're a part of can meet at certain times, or lives, to perform their specialty function together as a group. Other groups do the same. Basically, this speeds things up. Things can become exponential when people work together.

Of course, there are even more metaphors we can align with the expanding circular wave model, but that's enough for now.
