I came across this article on Group Dynamics in Cyberspace on another board. It talks about the evolution of online communities in various formats.

What are your thoughts on this?

It sounds pretty much like the path we've gone down, doesn't it?. We just reached stage 6b a couple weeks ago.

I don't think we're there yet and I'm not sure that paradym applies all that accurately to us as we're too small. The dynamics of much smaller groups is different than groups the size of towns and cities.

Still, it may apply to the larger hsp online community; all of the smaller boards together.

I'm not sure that much of 5 and 6a apply to HSP communities. Parts of them, perhaps. Certainly 1, 2, 3 and 4 apply.

I found the part about face-to-face contact interesting.

Interesting article... I would be interested to read more on the subject too..

Been in quite a few online communities so far, some are good, some are great.. for varying reasons.. Smile I agree with some of the stuff said there..
Interesting to learn about all this...
