The story of Stuff
I think it is about 10 minutes or so long but I feel it is well worth watching.

What is the Story of Stuff?
From its extraction through sale, use and disposal, all the stuff in our lives affects communities at home and abroad, yet most of this is hidden from view. The Story of Stuff is a 20-minute, fast-paced, fact-filled look at the underside of our production and consumption patterns. The Story of Stuff exposes the connections between a huge number of environmental and social issues, and calls us together to create a more sustainable and just world. It'll teach you something, it'll make you laugh, and it just may change the way you look at all the stuff in your life forever.

Actually, it's 20 minutes, but it's well done and it is worth watching. I really agree with its message, but then I was aware of its points before.
It does an excellent job of showing how its all connected.

Re: The story of Stuff
I downloaded the .mov version of it, since my system had a few "hiccups" with the streaming version. I wonder if it's intentional that the acronym for the name of this site and project is "SOS"! Morse code, anyone?melodiccolor wrote:Actually, it's 20 minutes, but it's well done and it is worth watching. I really agree with its message, but then I was aware of its points before.

Re: The story of Stuff
Yup, might be...
I've seen it before, it's awesome!!
I knew most of the things before too, but they really do a great job linking it all together - AND staying OPTIMISTIC!!
/which is the greatest accomplishment of all! /
& might be a really great introduction of all this for people who haven't really thought about it, kids in schools, etc...
