The HSP "White Shadow"
I've read a lot about shadow work, and one thing Elaine Aron's book mentions is that HSPs tend to have "white shadows" where we suppress all of our light and "good" aspects more so than our dark ones.
Just interested in anyone's perspective on this, or how integration of a white shadow might be different.

It's a term from Carl Jung, referring to the all the parts of ourselves we try to hide, suppress, and deny.
So for example, I might be a people-pleasing, giving person on the surface - but if I were to look at the "shadow aspect" of this behavior, it might be that I desire to control others through my "nice" behavior. The dark side to whatever behaviors we engage in.
Once we're aware of those shadow aspects, we can let go of them or integrate them in healthier ways.
