I've taken this a couple of times before, and I wind up in the same quadrant as Nucky, Melodiccolor, Nelson Mandela, and Ghandi. Not bad company, eh? thumbsup

I'm in the rough area of the Dalai Lama, too. Also sharing that space is Nelson Mandela and Gandhi. Good company indeed!

mel,

you just wait until i get my friends in the aryan nation, the kkk, the young republicans, the banditos and the republicans i know to take this test and join 'dimensions'.....then you'll see the see saw tilt...lol!

i bet obama is going to get elected just off this test....i'm hiding all my valuables before y'all give them to the 'poor unfortunates'....now, where could i bury a tractor????

ya know, now i'm curious...if i go back and take that test and answer the exact (or as near as i can remember), shouldn't it come out 'just slightly off center to the northwest'? (-x, +y, for you math freaks) wouldn't that make sense, or is this test somewhat 'cranked' to make the - side predominant? i've taken it before, and come out about the same, although a little more closer to the crosshairs...i'm gonna go repeat it 'backwards' and see....hell, it's only 5 here...2 hours until i can stand to be on the tractor again.....

as nearly as i could recall, i answered everything as opposite this time from what i did the first time. make of it what you will; here's the 'opposing score'. should be approximately 180 degrees from my first score, if the test is set up correctly to be valid...

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -2.50
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.46

economic 'left/right' that would by the x axis, so they're using your economic related answers to place the horizontal....and the social sounding caca to place the y. dint come out the same; i would be curious to see someone do 'exactly the opposite' if anyone is anal retentive enough to do that...speaking of anal retentive, i bet the dogs need to go out...lol!

Ah, well, Reb, I guess we have to have some sort of balance here. But if all of us lefties start jumping up and down, we'll tilt you over and you may slide over to our side, kicking and screaming the whole way, I suspect. lol!

Yah know, I've never met anyone who wound up in the upper left quadrant, authoritarian lefties. But then, maybe you've got to be Mother Theresa or the pope to make that list.

if ya hant mined the site, this might be elucidative...BUT DO NOT READ IT UNTIL YOU HAVE TAKEN THE TEST (this is their recommendation-knowing their analysis will likely sway your answers, imo).....

http://www.politicalcompass.org/analysis2

arguably, the whole thing is balderdash. measuring people's attitudes in six pages is pretty tough. measuring iq in 6 hours is tough enough, and it still doesn't give an accurate measure of a person...but it is an interesting place to start a political fight. or an economic one....one might google/blackle 'the measure of a person' and get:

as some know, i been hanging out at the 'intjforum' during my vacation. i wonder would they turn to tooth and claw if i posted the test over there? i think i'll go see lol! duck! duck! duck slap! (one of their in jokes is 'trout slap', and, of course, i perverted it....)

but, i digress....ah, rebel, thy name is digression! lol! or is it 'perversion'? heehee....nah, not me....

later edit: too late, they've already thrashed the thing, and i coont find any blood or good fencing going on...i dint read the whole mess, though...for your entertainment (well, hell, i guarantee you they would make fun of us, or am i making fun of us and them, or just everyone? i think everyone...and i'm not leaving myself out of it lol! wait! i registered over there, so i AM us AND them...jeez. very cornfusing.....); you will laugh....there are many economic liberals, although rl has discredited that resoundingly. politically/socially....lol! all positions in all quadrants are discredited in my mind...

Hey guys,

I took this test a couple of years ago, and ended up way into the lower left quadrant (like, the lower left quadrant of the lower left quadrant :^p). I'd probably have about the same score now.

These tests drive me nuts, I overthink everydamnthing. Rolling Eyes Also, my positions on the social issues are much stronger and better defined than the economic ones. Nonetheless, here I am:

Economic Left/Right: -4.25
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.77

Now excuse me while I go look shocked. chuckle
