Making sombreros

Okay guys; we invented the sombreros drink in the chat room yesterday. I thought it would be fun if someone would actually provide the ingredients and directions to make such a drink. Here are my versions: add you own.

Sombrero Colada

1 can Bicardi's frozen pina colada mix rum, crushed ice, peach juice
--follow the directions on the pina colada can, substituting 1/4 cup peach juice for ice or water

(Nonalcaholic version; will taste alcaholic enough to get people to think they are drunk)

1 can Bicardi's frozen pina colada mix rum extract, crushed ice, peach juice
--follow the directions on the pina colada can, substitute peach juice plus 1/2 tsp rum extract for the rum

Pour either version into a margarita glass and top with little sombreros or sombreros tassles and ole!


Sombreros Kahlua

1 quart brandy
2 oz instant coffee
4 cups sugar
2 cups boiling water
1 vanilla bean cut up

Boil water; dissolve sugar. Add Coffee and vanilla bean.
Remove from burner; add brandy
Pour into a dark container, seal.
Ferment for 30 days.
