Conscious Living: Being an HSP and the Perils of Helping the Unhelpable is a particularly terrific article, the latest by Denmarkguy.
I love this article and wholeheartedly agree. In fact I have said many of the same things you highlight here for years, as I learned myself and grew. One interesting thing I've noted is when you decide to stop helping someone what happens....many tend to get very angry at you and you become the next villian in their life's drama.
Another area to pay attention to is why people may decide to help, what under the surface stuff is going on that also motivates them.
