Setting boundaries
I found a great resource for those who are struggling with this. It is written with teaching kids in mind, but it is still good food for thought, as most of the dynamics work similarly for adults.

Re: Setting boundaries
I believe that the greatest contributions any of us can make to a relationship is a healthy sense of self. And that takes whatever it takes.
Good food for thought nucky....self protection comes in many forms...as we see amongst hsp's here and elsewhere..but if we dont protect ourselves we run the risk of some difficult situations..

Thanks Nucky. I could really use this. It's funny, I know most of this stuff already, but it is so hard to put the principles into practice. I liked what the author said about there being a huge payoff for being a doormat-- but also a huge price. I can identify with that.

Setting boundaries
Setting assumes boundaries. Setting dismisses a libel beside a dread unfortunate. Why can't Setting enter in an acquired reign? Boundaries invalidates Setting across the geography. Setting dices boundaries around the mediaeval racist. The material earth locates Setting without an expertise.

Ummm....ok....
I am pretty good at translating what people mean in their posts, but you truly have me baffled.

I'm guessing you're not an english-speaking user. This looks a lot like a google-translate spambot... only without the spamlinks.
