I doubt that "freeverse" would be a good name for the forum actually, despite the fact that I suggested it. There are too many strange connotation with that word. But it could make a good title for the creative section I suppose. I simply felt that "Diverse Expressions" wasn't very catchy. There's little charm in saying "I'm heading over to Diverse" or "see you on Diverse".

We could call ourselves the Happy Silly Place. That would be fairly absurd. Or the Bubble Blowers Academy, or the Island of Misfit Toys, or the Dyslexic Dance Club, or the Portable Pantry, or the Cat Fur Collection, or .....

So should we reconsider "Dimensional Bubbles"? It is a name people would remember and it's not completely absurd. Maybe the subtitle could still be "a forum for unrepressed highly sensitive people". That would get people's attention and curiousity going and kind of explain what we're about.

I think our humor section should definately be named "the Happy Silly People's Bubble Bath Forum" and perhaps "Diverse Expressions" could be a title for another major forum, one on interesting discussions. Having creative names for the individual sections adds to the fun and richness of the site.

Looks like Reb has laid out some really good names too. There is a lot to choose from now. So how will it be decided which one to go with? Will there be a vote or what?

More ideas are coming in. Eventually there will be a vote, just before the permanent site goes up. I expect more really good choices as this group, I think, is really capable of outstanding brainstorming.

We also need to be silly right now; who knows what ideas will come from that?

Not yet. Probably shortly after we decide on a permanent site and just before we move, we'll gather all the names and have a vote. The brainstorming phase of all of this is going to go on for quite a while.

My guess is that several other issues will be decided the same way.

I liked diverse expressions as a name but the run ons, not so good.
What about "Diverse Expressions - Highly sensitive anarchy" to nab both Logan's and Reb's ideas.
It conveys what we are aiming for, without spelling it out. ?maybe it sounds a bit porno(high brow of course). But then I was thinking how to incorparate bubbles baths as well.

Come on Mel, it's not fair to be assuming I like or don't like some idea unless I say so. Sometimes you overthink something too much. Yes, what I mean is, "a where do we stand so far" vote. We have a bunch of names tossed out there but that's all. Let's start putting some of these names together and see what we can come up with. Make a list of the possibilities and then post that list and play with them and change them as we go. No reason we can't have a list. Right now all we got is a bunch of names strewn throughout a bunch of posts. Let's make a list of what we have and go from there. What do you think? I'd do it but I don't even know where all the suggestion are anymore.

Naturally I'm partial to Diverse Expressions but I also like The Free Verse. Who's going to keep tract of how many votes these names get anyhow? Myself, I don't get or like the "bubble" thing or any version of it.
