Hal Spacejock - free COMEDY SF e-book!!
If you love Science Fiction, especially fun COMEDY SF, there's a FREE e-book to download http://www.spacejock.com.au/Hal1Download.html
by founding member of the Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine (that caters for Australian humour/horror SF) http://www.andromedaspaceways.com/ - info on freebie found at http://community.livejournal.com/asim_discussion/
Started reading it... still chuckling!!
Imagine an intellectually challenged Harrison Ford - with moral scruples! (re: cargo transfer) - & an indefinitely clunkier robot! with actually a much bigger heart - MUCH better than Star Wars!! lol
a very grim side of intergalactic recycling biz explored too...
I do trust there will be a happy ending as there are SEQUELS!!
**
snippet from the website: "What's the book like?
If you enjoy TV shows like the Young Ones, Firefly, Blackadder, Red Dwarf and Dr Who, or books by Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Tom Holt or Jasper Fforde, then the bestselling Hal Spacejock series is for you.
Is it a kids book?
The books were written for adults - i.e. me - but are suitable for ages 14+. According to official figures there are nearly 1000 copies of Hal Spacejock in school libraries across Australia. Frightening thought, eh?"

uhm, I'm in no means affiliated with them, just thought I'd post a fun read for any that might be interested...

Re: Hal Spacejock - free COMEDY SF e-book!!
It looks like it might be fun. But, my actual book pile of unread books is several hundred, all top rate and largely sci fi and mystery. So it might be a long while before I tread into ebooks as they would be harder on my eyes. Still this one looks good....hmmmm

Re: Hal Spacejock - free COMEDY SF e-book!!
yeah lol - I don't really have time to read it either
I just thought to download it just in case, cause sometimes these offers are for limited time only..
/then couldn't resist reading at least some of it /
I do think reading e-books is harder on the eyes too, so I'm planning to adjust monitor settings... (we have a funky monitor with no knobs, & a software solution to this - word of advice, never buy such a monitor )
I much prefer paper books too, but fact is a free interesting book is still a free interesting book...
& I found quite some interesting ones on Wowio too..
