Flash Cartoons & Animations
This first one is a bit strange, but I like this guy's style. A strange world with strange folks in it. There's nothing truly offensive in it, so no worries, but it's a rather large download, so it's for high-speed connections only. If you like it, check out the animation page of BiteyCastle.com (http://www.biteycastle.com/content/animation_brk.html) for other Brackenwood animated shorts (and part 2 of this one).
Little Foot
We've also got a Strong Bad alphabet song which is rather hilarious (if you like dumb humor). Warning - very repetitive use of the word "sucks".

Oh dear - I had to add this one. It's a Strong Bad email from the Homestar Runner website.
Weird Dream
Not sure what exactly that says about Texas, but it's certainly an interesting idea.

Well, you know I love the alphabet song. But that weird dream one had me cracking up! Too funny.

Little foot had some good animation and is quite imaginative, unlike much commercial stuff.
As for weird dream, lol, now that's funny.

I'm really loving that homestar runner site. (www.homestarrunner.com) Loving it. Stupid is like fresh air to me, and they've got a LOT of it on that website.

Justin,
I loved the bitey castle stuff especially the brackenwood series!! It sort reminds me of Jim Henson's stuff, like dark crystal, only much more playful. Very Cool.

Glad you liked the brackenwood animations Adain. I REALLY love stuff like that. Very dreamy, quite skillfully done, and wonderfully creative.

Re: Flash Cartoons & Animations
I figured I should continue the Homestar Runner avatar theme that's happening around here.
And in case any of you aren't familiar with Homestar, you can find out all about him and his friends on http://www.homestarrunner.com/. Lots of great stupid stuff there - highly recommended.
PS - S is for Sucks says Trogdor the Burninator! (that link is to a silly Trogdor flash game)
PPS - here's a Strong Bad email that explains Trogdor and the "S is for Sucks" stuff

Re: Flash Cartoons & Animations
I couldn't handle Trogdor the Burninator. Just too macho for me. So I've switched to Bill the Cat, for now anyway. Hairballs are more natural somehow.

You don't usually look like a cat either. Great avatar. I like it!

Re: Flash Cartoons & Animations
If you're not familiar with carrot and kazoo hill, you need to watch this. There's no other way to stay hip in our modern world I'm afraid. (Caution - pointless & utterly stupid Strong Bad email - no extra charge)
And don't forget to look for the easter eggs at the end (hint - rotten)
Or perhaps the sad saga of old technology would appeal to you. (hint- impressin!)

Re: Flash Cartoons & Animations
I guess I'm the only person who gets excited about all the cool animations that people are doing, but I can't help it. I love this stuff, especially when it's strange and weird. There's just something so cool about peeking into the strange alternate fantasy worlds that people create.

They are interesting. I have been watching them; I just don't always comment on them. My reaction is nonlingual usually but I do enjoy the creations and imagination that goes into them.

Glad you like them Melodi. I worry sometimes about double posting in this thread so often that's all. If people like them, that's great, and if I'm the only one, that's great too. (lol)

Re: Flash Cartoons & Animations
Since you are such a fan of the animation art form, it's inevitable that you'd be doing most of the posting. There's nothing wrong with that (remember my pun thread? lol).

These guys have quite a few - just google Animusic on Google video for others, or click on some of the related videos that appear with this one.

Re: Flash Cartoons & Animations
Here's another odd one. It's kind of a twisted music video I suppose. Lots of rather surreal and twisted imagery in this one, but not much more shocking than the Monty Python animations.

Re: Flash Cartoons & Animations
That was rather bizzarr. It was a very strange mix of the surreal, some funny stuff and some really disturbing things. How do people think up this stuff?

Re: Flash Cartoons & Animations
That's the million dollar question Melodi. Cyriak's stuff reminds me of my dreams in a way. Wild & off the wall, with only the vaguest hint of connections between ideas flying by so fast my mind can't keep up with the associations. As long as I don't let my mind get hung up thinking about things, it's a rather wonderful "ride" for me, and I love the fact that some people seem to be able to capture such things artistically.melodiccolor wrote:How do people think up this stuff?

Re: Flash Cartoons & Animations
Nothing too objectionable this time (at least, I don't think so). Just a nicely made animation with standard cartoon violence.
